| PRODUCTS The past several years has seen significant growth in the number of companies manufacturing PLCs, radios and control equipment. As with everything, the price fluctuates greatly and generally correlates to the quality of the products. At TMS we provide products from manufacturers that have established themselves with a reputation of longevity and quality in the marketplace.
CONTROLLERS TMS has worked with a variety of PLCs and RTUs. We have extensive experience in Bristol Babcock. Bristol Babcock, recently purchased by Emerson, is the preferred controller of TMS. Although it is not as widely used in the Midwest Region as it is in other parts of the country, their RTUs excel in the water and wastewater industry. When comparing the Control Wave family of processors to the competition, it is a superior product at a smaller price.We also have extensive experience with Allen Bradley which is much more popular in the Midwest region. If you have an existing Allen Bradley system or that is your preference we can easily fulfill your needs. TMS has also recently provided complete SCADA systems using Siemens PLCs, touch screens and HMI software. We have technicians trained in programming and configuration of Step7, WinCC, and WinCC Flexible. The Siemens family of touch screens is our touch screen of choice. OPERATOR INTERFACE TMS has experience in a number of different SCADA software packages including Wonderware, Iconics, FIX, iFIX, RSView, WinCC, WinCC Flexible, and others. If you have standardized on a particular SCADA package we can work with you. If you are looking for an upgrade or a new system our vast experience allows us to recommend the best package for your needs.For smaller systems we have a Touch Screen that offers a graphical solution with printing, trending and remote access capabilities. With proper development, this solution provides the benefits of SCADA software without the initial cost or the ongoing maintenance expense. Alarm management is possibly the most important aspect of a control system. Phantom or nuisance alarms lead to disabling the dialer which will end up in missing a crucial alarm. Furthermore, systems that don't have remote access capabilities or give detail alarm messages require the operators to physically check on every call no matter how urgent. Our systems allow alarm management to enable or disable individual alarms, but also give operators detailed alarm descriptions or remote access to view the detailed alarm descriptions. VARIABLE FREQUECY DRIVES (VFDs) TMS has provided and serviced quite a number of different brands of VFDs, for a variety of applications. If you have a preference of brands we can accommodate your needs. Our preferred drives include Yaskawa, ABB, or Allen Bradley. TMS has two certified service technicians for Yaskawa drives.INSTRUMENTATION TMS is not a distributor for any line of instrumentation, so once again if you have a preference of an established brand, we can get it.Brands we have supplied in the past: |
